Bade Ghulam Ali Khan
Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (1902–1968) was among the towering Hindustani classical vocalists of the twentieth century and the definitive master of the Kasur-Patiala gharana, prized for the sweetness of his voice and his command of khayal and thumri. Though he recorded sparingly, renditions like his thumri 'Ka Karun Sajni' became touchstones of the tradition, and his Patiala lineage shaped generations of singers across the subcontinent.
