Their 2013 debut 'Settle' paired crisp, skippy production with a roster of guest vocalists - most famously Sam Smith on 'Latch' - and helped return UK dance music to the pop charts. They became figureheads for a revived, vocal-led British house sound.
Disclosure have repeatedly cited Todd Edwards as a foundational influence on their chopped-vocal, sample-collage garage style, and collaborated with him on the 'Settle' track 'Defeated No More.'
listen forEdwards's 'Saved My Life' builds its groove from tiny, stuttering vocal and instrument samples stitched into a shimmering wash - the same micro-sampled texture threaded through Disclosure's productions.
Disclosure grew up on Daft Punk's filtered French house, and its influence surfaces in their polished, disco-touched grooves and their taste for hypnotic, looping hooks.

As house revivalists, Disclosure draw on the deep, soulful Chicago house that Frankie Knuckles pioneered - warm keyboard chords, a steady four-on-the-floor kick, and gospel-tinged vocals.
