Nando Boom
Panamanian singer Fernando Brown began performing in the late 1970s and became a key figure in the early reggae en español scene, but he's best remembered for one recording: his 1990 Spanish-language cover of Shabba Ranks's 'Dem Bow.' That single, 'Ellos Benia,' helped popularize the riddim that would eventually give reggaetón's foundational rhythm — dembow — its name.
