Mario Escudero

Mario Escudero was a Spanish flamenco guitar virtuoso who, following in Ramón Montoya's footsteps as his early mentor and teacher, was among the first-wave guitarists to relocate to the United States in the early 1950s and popularize flamenco guitar as a concert instrument there. His 1955 Folkways recording Flamenco Guitar Solos was among the earliest widely distributed American solo-flamenco-guitar records.
