Kane Robinson grew up in East Ham to Jamaican parents and started MCing at fourteen, joining the pirate-radio collective Nasty Crew in 2002 before his single "P's and Q's" turned him into one of grime's most technically dazzling voices. His 2005 debut Home Sweet Home went gold, and he later built a parallel acting career, starring as Sully across all five seasons of Top Boy.
