Inayat Hussain Khan

Ustad Inayat Hussain Khan (1849–1919), a child prodigy from Sahaswan in present-day Badaun district, founded the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana — a khyal style closely related to the Gwalior gharana's full-throated, dhrupad-inflected singing. The tradition passed from him through his foremost disciple, Haider Khan, and down four further generations to Ghulam Mustafa Khan and, eventually, Shilpa Rao.
