El Marrurro

El Marrurro was a 19th-century cantaor from Jerez de la Frontera's San Miguel neighborhood, remembered as one of flamenco history's most important siguiriya specialists and a formative reference point for the San Miguel singing tradition that produced Manuel Torre a generation later. He predates commercial recording, and his compositions survive mainly through the versions other singers, including Antonio Chacón, later recorded.
