Dionisio Aguado
A Madrid-born guitarist and close friend of Fernando Sor, Aguado wrote a widely used guitar method and a catalog of rondos and studies that, alongside Sor's, formed the technical foundation 19th-century Spanish guitarists built on. He's remembered as much for codifying right-hand technique — fingerings and posture still taught today — as for his own compositions.
