Waris Hussain Khan

Ustad Waris Hussain Khan was a Hindustani classical vocalist from a family of musicians connected to the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana, and the father and first teacher of Ghulam Mustafa Khan, whom he began training in ear and voice before the boy could understand the words he was singing. Beyond that role, little of his own career — exact dates, recordings, performances — appears to be separately documented in accessible sources.
