Silverio Franconetti

Silverio Franconetti y Aguilar was the leading figure of flamenco's Golden Age, a singer and café cantante impresario in Seville credited with defining and codifying most of the tradition's core song forms (palos). He predates commercial recording entirely — his art survives only through the generation of singers, including Antonio Chacón, who considered themselves his artistic heirs.
