Perry Como

Perry Como was the sound of postwar American ease, a former barber whose relaxed, unforced baritone made him one of RCA Victor's most reliable hitmakers and, later, a fixture of early television variety programming. His 1945 chart-topper 'Till the End of Time' set the template for the gentle, warmly sincere delivery that defined his decades-long career. He died in 2001, having spent 44 years recording for a single label.
