Los Solitarios
Los Solitarios started in Tijuana's Colonia Alemán around 1962 as a rock and roll band covering English-language hits before pivoting toward romantic balada by the end of the decade, a shift that earned them the nickname "El Símbolo Romántico de México." Founder Daniel López kept the group recording for decades, and in 2008 Mexico's SACM formally recognized them as a romantic-music institution. Hits like "Lo Que Te Queda" and "Sufrir" remain staples of Tijuana's golden-era rock-turned-balada catalog.
