Lewis Beadle, recording as El-B, is an English producer, songwriter, and DJ who, as an original member of the duo Groove Chronicles and later through his Ghost Recordings label, is widely credited as one of the chief architects of 'dark garage' — the moody, minimal, bass-heavy strain of UK garage that fed directly into the emergence of dubstep.
