Ahmed Ali Khan
Ahmed Ali Khan was a sarod player attached to the court of Jagat Kishore Acharya, the zamindar of Muktagachha, in the late 19th century. His performance so captivated the young Allauddin Khan that Allauddin became his student for roughly five years — the encounter credited with turning Allauddin toward the sarod before he sought out Wazir Khan of Rampur for the instrument's deepest classical refinements. Little more of Ahmed Ali Khan's own biography or repertoire is documented.
